it's looking doubtful that i'll be able to get my hands on a pair

( or indeed my feet into a pair )

the only bright spot about the whole hyped up thing was that yesterday

outside 1948 i saw a bloke actually wearing them.

and now i'm thinking hmmm... i've saved myself a load of cash.
