10 photos of a polo shirt ?
surely not ?
but you know i like the details, so maybe it will take me 10 photos.
1
the tease.
a package arrives at whitfield towers from japan.
2
the reveal.
aape for those of you who don't know, is the new diffusion line from one
of my favourite brands, a bathing ape.
the polo shirt is in a special aape branded ziplock bag. so far so good.
3
you know i'm all about the details so let's start here.
firstly, i'm a big fan of the aape logo. here it is on the inside size tag and also
on the piping on the inside of the collar.
very nice indeed.
4
attached to the size tag is a plastic aape logo tag. it's almost like a key-ring.
it's a decent little thing in itself.
bearing in mind this diffusion line is a lot cheaper than bape, you would have
thought they'd have cut a few corners. there's no real need for this tag.
it's just a nice touch... a cracking little detail.
also you can just make out the branding on the outside of the buttons.
5
there is another label or tab on the outside of the shirt just above the waist.
this is one side of it.
6
and this is the other. once again a little over the top.
no real need for this label but it's kind of interesting. it feels like bit
of care has been taken with putting this polo shirt together, i mean even the little
label itself is stitched rather than printed.
7
there's also a stitched aape logo on the chest of the polo shirt in the usual place
8
it's a really good effort. no lairy back print or anything stupid,
just a very decent polo shirt in what seems to be similar materials to the normal bape
polo shirts.
9
one last detail. the underside of the collar has two red stripes.
( obviously i'm not going to be stupid enough to walk around with the collar up )
it's a corking little detail and seems to be a costly thing to do rather
than just leaving it all black.
10
so there you have it. an aape black polo shirt.
it's a belting bit of kit, and it only set me back £200.
... ok i was only joking about the cost.
i don't usually like to mention prices here but i think this was
about £45 or so.
good work bape.
