i met up with my friend benito for lunch a few days ago.
benito was looking jolly smart and i very much admired his tie.
it was a silk tie, quite expensive and from a well respected gentleman's outfitters.
final competition of the year... how much did he pay for his tie ?
( he bought it himself, it wasn't a present )
the prize is a book, cd and dvd... from my coffee table selection this year.
it looks very much like a woven 8cm pin dot silk from drake's.
ReplyDeleteI'd guess he paid £95
I'll only slightly be offended that when i had lunch with you in a suit I got abused for being overdressed!
Jolly nice tie though difficult to say in black and white... Given it's a competition and you were therefore shocked... I'm going for £195.
ReplyDeleteMrs Credit
Ps: we are trying to get your country stats up too... Vietnam done and Cambodia hits coming at the weekend...
i looked at it and thought - "surely that's not a Longer Length Self Tip 50oz Royal Twill Printed Silk 9cm Tie from Drakes" and then realised that simon is on the money.
ReplyDeletei bow to his superior tie knowledge..
i am going to say £89 just to have a fighting chance as i love your dvd choices...
ReplyDelete120 quid?
ReplyDelete£100.00
ReplyDeleteI will go with £69.99
ReplyDelete£135
ReplyDelete£79
ReplyDeletewhen's the closing date?... I'm feeling confident.
ReplyDeletei'm also a brainless optimist :-)
I imagine Ben had change from a fiver after buying that tie.
ReplyDeleteAm i correct ?
