the last few porto snapshots

here are a few more odd shots i took in porto last month.

this is a building on mickey-b street that i could see from my hotel.
it collapsed last year... that's right, it pretty much just collapsed.
the poignant graffiti was added afterwards.

i showed a similar shot to this last year...
...very cool specs advertising an opticians in the city centre.

obrigado !
standard porto slice of meat pie crammed with bacon, ham, cheese and red peppers.

my krink af-1's are constructed from a silver 3m material.
sometimes they look grey, sometimes metallic silver. when hit by flash
they look bright white ( with black krink drips )
here at the casa da musica they blend in nicely with the flooring.

more street art on my favourite street

also on my favourite street, combining porto's love of street art and tiles
is that a mathematical equation ?
or is it a welsh place name ?

here's another tile
any idea ?

these tiles popped up all over porto
a very acceptable form of street art in my opinion. quite stylish... very porto.

over the river i was shown to a very picturesque little fishing village.
the houses were more or less all covered in tiles , which...
... well, i think you know what's coming next don't you ?

oh come on...
what did you expect ?

if you ever fancy a long weekend away from london ( or wherever you are )
forget about barcelona... you've been there loads of times haven't you ?
forget about madrid and certainly forget about paris...
get yourself over to porto, you'll love it.
