rather than show you photos of my sneakers or coffee,

how about i show you a few examples of my work  ?

here are a few interiors from places i've photographed for magazines

over the past few months. i won't do the sensible thing and name them all

giving addresses, websites etc, but if you want to know where any of them are

just comment at the bottom and i'll explain all.

so first up, here's a nice enough looking place

it's almost black and white isn't it ?

it seems a bit cramped to me but it had two other rooms as well 

and it's in a decent location, pretty near to selfridges.

oh, it has a basement bar too

serving some pretty decent cocktails

hmmm... this was in a hotel

i'm pretty sure i had a coffee on the go when i was shooting this room.

this is in the same hotel

i was jonesing for a self-portrait here. you can imagine it can't you ?

me standing dead centre... smiling happily.

this was a good shoot for me

not only were the staff extremely friendly and helpful ( they gave me two coffees )

but straight after the shoot i discovered the fleet river cafe nearby. sweet !

this was way out of town... maybe in kent ?

it had a very interesting and impressive menu. i'm pretty sure that graham garrett

had something to do with it.

this is the first frame i took at heston blumenthal's place 'dinner'

and here's my trademark move, when i'm crammed uncomfortably in the corner

but it gives you an impression of the size of the place doesn't it ?

this makes this covent garden restaurant look bigger than it is

using the mirror on the left hand side.

this restaurant got amazing reviews in more or less every magazine going.

i reckon i'll have to give it a whirl someday soon.

this place has had some mixed reviews, but i really liked the feel of it

what i mean is, the staff were friendly and seemed 'normal'

also it's the sort of place where you could go to wearing jeans and feel 

comfortable, unlike say dinner by heston where i get the feeling that

jeans would be frowned upon.

this is a michelin starred restaurant in edinburgh

i've never seen a restaurant with tables so well spaced out. good work.

i like this shot with the pillar right in the centre.

but i also like this shot showing two pillars

there's an 'in-joke' here if i say that this restaurant deserves to have two photos shown,

so it's the least i can do to thank them for their hospitality.

this place was in pickering, north yorkshire

a very long, low ceilinged room in a wonderful old hotel.

also in north yorkshire

this is supposed to be a belting place. it's in a tiny village which also 

has a corking hotel and also probably the best village shop in the uk.

this is the vip room of a member's club in mayfair

i liked this place very much. i wish i was a member there.

if i was, i'd take you there... honestly.

from red to white. look how white this place is

giles coren reviewed this place for the times and although he seemed to spend a lot
of his review moaning about the lack of baby changing facilities,
my friend gemma assured me it's a very good restaurant to get nosh at*

the reviewer of the magazine i shoot for didn't rate this place

of course i haven't eaten here but i can tell you it's a beautifully designed place.

the chef is top man and personally came over to offer me a coffee. the staff were 

all very friendly, it has london's first dessert bar and maybe best of all, when you

go in, they give you a key with a number on it.

when you leave, you take the key to the receptionist and use it to open one of the many numbered boxes behind the desk. inside the box is a little gift for you to take home.

now isn't that a good idea ?

this little place in devon had just 7 tables

the chef is very highly rated though and it has been getting very good reviews

you'll never guess the name of this place

this view is from the booth in the corner. a very private little table.

the look of this restaurant was one of my most pleasant surprises of the year so far.

and finally, the restaurant in a hotel which opened up in chinatown recently

it's open to non-residents too... 

i reckon it's a good place to go for a spot of breakfast.
