my bespoke nike air force 1's

remember back in december last year when i explained about the nike
bespoke service at 21 mercer ?

then in march i showed you my bespokes that turned up ?

well a few days ago my re-made bespokes turned up at whitfield towers.
this time they were perfect.
dark grey waterproof wool with brown crocodile trim.

they come with cedar wood shoe trees, which is a nice touch.

and a key fob using the same croc trim as used on my bespokes

tidy.
brown metal eyelets all the way except for the old gold top eyelets.

very tidy.
no nike air or swoosh embroidered onto the heel tab. just croc skin.

no markings on the tongue tab either.
i changed the tongue from leather to the same dark wool as the upper.

the inside of the tongue though, is in soft perforated glove leather
as is the sock liner and the insole.
perfect !

the shoe sits on a gum midsole and an ice outsole. i was told that i was the first person
to ever opt for this combination at 21 mercer.
the factory encountered many difficulties  trying to fix these two soft rubbers
together, which resulted in these taking so long to make. nike have now decided that
this combination is no longer an option available on the bespoke service.

i chose to have the 'x' stitching throughout the shoe, using old gold coloured thread.
the swoosh is in brown croc, the same colour as most of the eyelets.

the laces are waxed and in the same old gold colour as the stitching.
the laces have screw-on gold tips.

the dubres are inscribed with my name
in lower case of course.

these shoes are most definitely a problem
many thanks to iz, dave and everybody at 21 mercer.

you will be seeing these on the streets of n7 and w1 from tomorrow.

boom !
