the no tell motel

i had an interesting shoot at a very famous nightspot last week.

they have come up with what i think is a genius idea...

they've just made a vip room, but it's a vip room with a difference.

it's a room which is available for private hire, just off the main floor.

so if you want a bit of privacy for you and your friends, it's the way to go.

in the corner of one of the main rooms you'll see this little corridor

at the end is a window with a 'vacancies' sign

turn left as you reach the window and...

you see the door to the 'no tell motel'

it's done up inside like a kitsch motel room from say late 1960's usa

there's a kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom.

oh, it even has it's own bar and comes complete with a dedicated barman.

see the microphones on the bed ?

that's because the whole room is basically your very own private karaoke lounge

you can sing from the bed or more or less anywhere but it's designed so that

the bathroom is the karaoke stage and you sing in the shower.

the taps are actually the controls for selecting the songs.

see the toothbrush in the mug ? it controls the treble and bass on the music.

flat screen monitors are on the walls which show the lyrics.

perfect !

the no tell motel is in a place that's not really my kind of venue,

but i do think it's an absolutely genius idea...

... and i do like a bit of karaoke so who knows ?
