my valentine

i'm not a big fan of macca but this is a lovely old tune.
the video is a simple idea and works really well too.

if you're interested, there's also a video where johnny depp does the signing

if you're still interested, theres a third video using shots of natalie and johnny.

standard procedure at borough market

have you ever been to borough market and not bumped into a film crew ?
it seems to me like there's always something going on there.

not the best film title of all time... "closed"
though the sign hints that the title could be changing at some point.

anyway, if in a year or so you see a film where there's a big explosion in borough
market, keep your eyes on the people in the background... you might see a moody
looking bloke with an orange camera case standing like a boss !

the n7 pose

i took a trip to w12 yesterday.
i had some important catching up to do with my mate neil.

what we discussed was top secret, but yes, a certain amount of conversation
was dedicated to the sneaker game and the importance of details.

before we said our goodbyes we posed up for an official portrait.
as you can see, we are pretty much at the top of our games at the moment
( though i have to deduct half a point from neil here for not extending his fingers fully )

it seems i can never mention neil without ending with the words 'top man'

there's a reason for that... neil is top man.

the walrus.

i've mentioned the big loud bloke who sits behind me at the arsenal
on a few posts during the season... no not gooner jeff, the bloke who sits
4 seats away from jeff... a bloke we know as 'the walrus'

well on monday night there was no sign of him at the wigan match.
we all thought it very strange as he never misses a game.

then at half time i turned around to chat to gooner jeff and glanced towards
the walrus's position, where i saw this...
the bloke who sits next to the walrus had placed a bunch of flowers
on his seat.

oh dear...
red and white flowers, very arsenal.

the bloke told me the story. the walrus who was singing at the man city
game just 7 days previously was taken ill the next day and died 3 days later.
he was quite a character. he was always singing, always making up new songs
and showing passion for the team he supported.
he will be missed.

dspatch heavy duty camera strap

much better service from dspatch with the second order.
i think it was only about 5 or 6 days after i pushed the button that
this package turned up at whitfield towers.
also this time i didn't have to pay any extra fee to the good old post office.
score.

inside the box
tidy, a heavy duty camo strap.

this is wider than the other straps and made out of a stronger material too
i'm saving it for a new camera i'll be buying in june, so hold tight.

if you're in the market for a camera strap, something a bit different,
stylish and strong then i'd recommend dspatch

extra iphone charge

i've said it before and i'll say it again... my iphone battery is pony.

i bought a great little effort in tokyo which gives it an extra boost

then the other day i had a little look on ebay and...
bought this bad boy.

it charges up using the same thing as the iphone
and has indicators to show how much power it's holding.

whack it into the iphone and in say 20 minutes it gives it another 3
hours or so of life
it's a handy thing to keep in your camera bag or your sky rocket.
it was as cheap as you like too... maybe £4 or so with free postage.

get in.

self-portrait missed opportunities

as you know, pretty much every time i have a shoot i am always on the
lookout for a place to knock out a self-portrait.

here are a few shots i did last week that i thought would be good, but
i never got around to using.

shame

oh, this would have been a good one

grrr ! i'm tempted to photoshop myself into this frame.

oh well, don't worry, you'll be seeing me hitting the n7 pose soon enough.
