review of 2009

it's a cold, cold day here in N7 so i thought a review of 2009

might be of interest...

in january i took this pic with my iphone.

the iphone camera is very poor in my opinion,

but this pic of jackie and her new jumper...

well, i like it very much.

we went to malaysia in january.

if anybody asks me what kuala lumpur is like

my answer would be...

they sell cottage pies in starbucks there !

we also went to wales in january...

hmmm, ok it's pangkor laut, malaysia.

where i had chicken curry for breakfast !

in march i had a shoot in new york.

where i just had to drop in at yonah schimmel's

knishery

in april i did a feature on painters at the rca

this chap's name is nathan barlex. talented artist, nice bloke. 

i saw this joker in my local thai restaurant, sorry

but it's a phone pic.

have you ever seen bigger turn-ups ?

in may we went for a sneaky holiday to koh samui

look who i saw poolside... 

david beckham has really let himself go.

i continued to eat healthily

in july i met a hero of mine

ding dong !

my nephew came over from the usa 

i decided to show him some english traditions.

a fry-up in my local cafe while 'reading'

page 3 of the currant bun.

i went to a cracking exhibition.

the artist 'space invader' made loads

of pieces of art, all from rubiks cubes.

this was his interpretation of a famous

roxy music album cover for 'country life'

towards the end of summer i decided to try and

do something useful with the iphone's camera

and each saturday i would do a panoramic

collage using lots of individual iphone pics.

my daughter jess continued to

amaze me with her skills

and ideas.

here is a watercolour she did of

i had a shoot in september which

was basically office portraits.

i decided to debut my new lens...

genius.

this little fellow came to live at whitfield towers.

a tiger made from mccain oven chips packaging.

once again... genius.

at the beginning of november i had two shoots in tokyo

i photographed this girl in harajuku

fake yeezys on the streets of shibuya

why oh why did i not buy a pair ?
