thursday work

breakfast this morning after a meeting in victoria.
these little cafe's were originally only for taxi drivers, but nowadays
anybody can use them.
magic darts !

i had a shoot in camden at 10.30am.
it was a portrait of a man who bought a sink off ebay...
well, it's a long story but in the course of setting up the shot
i asked my assistant ( bad twin ) to stand in place and hold one of my cases,
( in the finished shot this would be the subject holding the sink )

wait a minute... she's not giving me the usual look...
that's right... it's not bad twin... it's good twin !

good twin was on good form. she was so polite that afterwards she even
pretended to be interested when i told her the long, long story of how i
discovered that the sea is a cruel mistress...

while telling the story of my adventures on the high seas, i sipped
on a very strong and expensive latte...

then home to edit, to blog and then out to another shoot at 5pm.

a few snapshots from today's shoot

and of course...

like a boss !

south of the river

i had a shoot south of the river this morning.

i parked up near to a portuguese cafe / bar
and had this incredibly strong coffee. i asked for a double espresso
but it was like a quadruple espresso... maybe even bigger.

it was a very strange place. it was a big cafe with heaps of tables
and about 5 minutes after i sat down, the place filled up. i mean, really
filled up. strangers came in and shared tables, people standing up too.
everything in the place was portuguese, the newspapers, the telly, the
staff, and no word of a lie i was the only non-portuguese person in there.
it didn't have menus and i needed something to eat to help my coffee.
i asked the waitress if i could have what the other people were eating
( everybody seemed to be eating toasted buns ) and she said in broken
english " sorry, speaka no english "
she made no effort to find anybody who did and lots more people came in
so i decided to make a move.

i was just looking on the net to find the place and all i could find was this
review...
a pretty similar review to mine. it looks like a great place but perhaps
it's only meant for portuguese people ?

a bathing ape

i had no idea how many bathing ape t-shirts i had until i just
ironed a few... twelve of them !
it made me go to my wardrobe and count the others...
gulp !
in the wardrobe i've got another nineteen bape short sleeve t-shirts.

time to start wearing and to stop spending.

breakfast

another healthy breakfast at whitfield towers
pears, pineapple, grapes, blueberries, yoghurt and honey.

standard.

i've started to see things in the froth on the top of the coffee recently...
but i won't tell you what i see here !

carmen's story

i did a shoot with my friend and ex-assistant, carmen.
i showed her the locations i had in mind and she put together
a story for the shoot... two stylish punk-type girls living together
in the car park and bin sheds of a large building.

i don't think any captions are needed. i'll just post the photos.
