the day after my shoot in wc2, i had a similar assignment in w1.

i stuck with the same n7 pose which has served me well over the years

i debuted a stüssy x hanes white tee and teamed it with a pair of no.3 jeans by evisu

and some krink air force 1's

the future

the other day in a boozer in nw1 with my friend gerry, i turned my camera

towards the pub's only other customer.

a grey haired, miserable looking bloke sitting by himself. drinking all alone, seemingly

with no friends, tutting now and then and drinking a pint of bitter.

now my friend gerry is a well respected time-traveller, do you think he transported us into the future ?

do you think that bloke could be me, but in the future ?

i mean to say, i swear he was wearing a nice jacket. his trousers seemed to be stüssy

and also he was rocking a classic all white pair of nike air force 1's.

i asked gerry if this was some sort of future vision of me and he said 

"yes... it's you in two years time"

i just thought i should post this shot of gerry that i did the other day.

i really like his pained expression here, also the light in the pub was very nice indeed.

finally, the green walls seem to go well with gerry's olive green corduroy jacket.

hopefully i'll be seeing a lot more of gerry now that he's moved to north london.

robo-cat and her paintings

last friday i helped out my assistant robo-cat by photographing her paintings

so that she has a proper catalogue of them.

afterwards i took a few quick shots of her

you can see some of her oil paintings here

this was a little while later after she decided to change outfits.

while she was changing i moved the paintings around a little and made sure

some sketches and paints were visible too.

and finally a close up shot without any paintings.

the predictables

this is a still from a forthcoming tv show on bbc-1

it stars me ( as a photographer in present day london ) and i'm called in to help the police

with various photography, footwear and coffee crimes which they themselves are unable to solve.

my sidekick is a mysterious time-traveller from the late 1960's who is trapped in present

day london and unable to return home until he manages to buy a round of drinks.

at the end of the first episode, after we've solved the crime and i've saved a 

young model's life by throwing away her reebok classics and giving her a pair of nike blazers, 

myself and gerry retire to a pub to have a few drinks and discuss acceptable footwear.

as our first pints are drained, i raise an eyebrow towards gerry.

slowly he reaches towards his wallet and nods towards our empty glasses

this prompts me to speak the final line of the show.

" i'll do the jokes "

the camera pans with me as i walk towards the bar then cuts to the inside of gerry's

jacket pocket and the 'reveal' that he didn't have his wallet with him.

the music ( telstar by joe meek ) fades in and the credits roll.

nike air force 1 ( 30th anniversary editions )

last week i skulked over to 1948 to buy a pair of 30th anniversary edition air force 1's

they are pretty sweet and pretty clean.

the main material used is a black denim.

here you can see the tip and the toe box

the piping is black nubuck leather by the way.

the heel tab and heel strip are also in black nubuck leather

with the nike air and swoosh etched into it

the same material and tactic on the tongue tab

with the tongue itself finished in black denim, and black waxed laces

the waxed laces have white metal tips

and the shoes also have black metal eyelets

they come with special 30th anniversary dubres

i'm glad it's not the twentieth anniversary because kaws would get the right hump

the swoosh is in black nubuck and there's nubuck piping on all the joints

but perhaps the most interesting design aspect of these is the black denim midsole.

that's right... a denim mid... amazing !
