more self-portraits in w1

let's face it... aside from n7, w1 is probably the best postcode in london.

i had a shoot in w1 with "14" today and after a little while she said something 

really impressive to me. she said "don't forget to take a self-portrait"

what a girl !

so... twenty minutes or so later, i found a suitable location and boom !

top by marc jacobs, trousers by marc jacobs, af-1's by nike

then i did the gentlemanly thing and invited "14" into the frame

"14" is top girl. she seems really into photography, she's punctual

( which is probably my number one requirement in an assistant )

and she speaks with the poshest accent i've heard in a long time. 

( then again most people sound posh to my northern ears )

this is good.

i'm hooked into apple as much as most of the people in the ad

but i have to admit... the phone looks good and the ad is excellent.

i could never get a samsung... i'm creative.

self portrait in w1

in a new restaurant in w1 a few days ago, myself and stel took

a break for a few seconds and posed up for a team shot.

i've no idea what she's wearing but i'm pretty sure her dress was from

the primark sale and her shoes from a stall in chapel market.

as for me... t-shirt by supreme. cashmere top by marc jacobs, jeans by evisu

and pony skin bearbrick af-1's by nike.

stel and the two photo fails

i had a shoot with stel on monday.

naturally enough, after about ten minutes or so, i saw the opportunity 

for a self-portrait and i asked her to join me.

alas she couldn't keep still for the long exposure so i had to dock her some points.

later on i asked her to photograph me alongside the blushing bride.

my instructions were for the bride to stare lovingly at me while i stared

moodily at the camera. unfortunately stel had a camera malfunction

and the only shot she managed to take was when i was striding towards 

her to sort out the cable release.

more points were docked after this incident... the moment was lost

and we never got to re-shoot it.

afterwards stel kept a pretty low profile

though with her 'robot-cat' stories, she cracked me up all afternoon.

burger and chips... right and wrong.

on monday's shoot the client came up trumps and delivered burger

and chips for team whitfield...

can you guess which one was mine ?

sunday lunch

wagamama islington for sunday lunch.

the thing i had tasted very nice but looked ropey, so i didn't photograph it.

i did however take a photo of my starter

duck gyozas.

ideal.

the somewhat predictable self-portrait at the millenium cafe

i wasn't about to let charlie's visit to n7 pass without being captured 

by my camera. obviously it needed documenting for the official records.

the bloke who was sitting at the next table left after a little while

so i looked into the possibilty of the two of us looking moody using that location.

yeah... that could work.

all it needed was to flick on the self-timer and for the two of us to sit there,

give it our best "this one's for all the ladies in the house" look

and the job would be a good 'un.

so...
