oh come on... what did you really expect to happen after i took the 'y' away ?

i also had a play with trying to recreate the supreme box logo

but the end results were not so good.

i couldn't get the font to be the right size as supreme use. these are too skinny

and the bolder versions were too bold.

one more quiz question then, and by now you should know what i'm getting

at here.

what do you think i did with this logo

remember early in the new year when i went to sw9 for a shoot ?

well between the shoot location and the tube station i saw something in a shop window

which was absolute genius.

no, not my reflection... something even better.

fast forward a month and i have a meeting in a coffee shop in wc1 and the person

who came to meet me handed me a bag full of goodies.

( he didn't say they were for my birthday but basically anything which comes

my way three months either side of january 13th i count as a birthday present )

and in the bag was the very same item i saw in the sw9 shop window a

few weeks earlier. 

outstanding !

more birthday presents... seriously

seriously, the belated birthday presents are still arriving in n7

this one arrived from australia, where as every australian you'll ever meet in

london will tell you, everything is much better than in london.

m1's angels

remember a week ago when i posted a photo of myself with one of

m1's angels ?

well a couple of days ago i returned to photograph the finished venue.

unfortunately i couldn't recreate the previous week's shot as there were

now tables and chairs in the place where we stood.

instead i did the promised shot with angel 'a' upstairs.

not bad.

i then took the opportunity to bring misery to another part of the venue.

by now angel 'a' was getting the hang of posing with me

and we were beginning to look like a team.

bonus !

angel 'n' decided to join us on the sofa of shame.

like charlie, my friend m1 has three angels working for him.

wouldn't it be good if i had my photo taken with all three of them

in the same frame ?

challenge accepted !

old trainers

as you can imagine, i have photographed all my trainer collection

and have a folder on my iphone which contains them all.

recently i became irked that in some of the photos... the oldest photos.

i was wearing a pair of jeans that i didn't like.

they were an old pair and pretty light coloured.

so on friday i re-photographed a few pairs while i was wearing some

more acceptable denim.

i think these are called nike air mocs.

really soft black leather on a sole made from recycled car tyres.

they have a drawstring tie at the heel.

they are a bit like slippers i suppose, though i have worn them out.

silver leather marc jacobs x vans slip-ons.

these are pretty worn now. i've had them for years and worn them a lot.

i think i'll try and freshen them up for the summer.

i really like these.

i have never worn these.

they are very, very nice. quality leather and some interesting touches

by marc jacobs. plus they're trimmed with orange ( my favourite colour )

maybe i'll debut them this summer.

i have never seen another pair of these.

these hadn't been photographed previously. they are a new addiction to my crate.

nike lunar force 1's medicom bearbrick editions.

these came fitted with only white laces but as you can see, the tongue is trimmed

with orange, the bearbrick logo is in orange and the secondary swoosh or in this

case, the imitation secondary swoosh is in orange too.

so i decided to drop some orange laces onto these. i tried with blue but in my

opinion orange worked best.

once again, i haven't worn these yet but they are a definite for this summer.

saturday

i'm going to keep it brief today.

just this behind the scenes-ish photo from a shoot i did on monday.

supreme, evisu, adidas.

the road to nn12

on tuesday i had a road trip to nn12.

it was a good drive although it was pretty snowy on the roads.

as ever when i'm about to photograph a nice restaurant, i start thinking

about food on the journey and especially on a road trip... especially when 

i'm driving down an a-road i get a bit hank marvin.

then it's just a matter of keeping an eye out for a union jack flying proudly 

above a caravan or trailer and boom !

i pull over and park up amongst the truck drivers in my little fiat 500

sadly i had to report this place to the authorities afterwards...

not for hygiene reasons, no... it was as clean as a whistle.

it was because they were flying the union jack upside down.

grrr !

i spent three times my friend benito's daily budget on this bad boy

a bacon, sausage and fried egg sandwich ( with brown sauce )

i won't lie...

it hit the spot.

an hour later i was in deepest nn12
