starbucks concept store in tokyo

as some of you may know, i've been boycotting starbucks now for over a year.
( though i did nip in for a sneaky porridge last august )

well my sources sent me news yesterday of a new starbucks concept store
opening up in omotesando hills in tokyo. it's called 'b-side'
and has been designed by hiroshi fujiwara

i was going to say they're using the same old cups, but then again the cups
are quite new aren't they ? new logo and all that.

it's supposed to have more of a members club vibe to it

and the furniture and fittings are unique to this store

my favourite detail is this...
a big neon sign on one of the concrete walls which is missing the word 'to'

oooh... that's a little bit of crunch !
