a few days ago i found a very interesting little website
what a great idea !
what would you take with you if your house was burning ?
it seems like the majority of submissions so far have been from photographers
and i reckon the most popular possession to take so far has been the iphone.
so what would you take ?
here's a little effort i just put together. i think it needs a bit of tweaking
as it's mainly just clothes and cameras.
then again what are the rules ? do you just grab your most expensive possessions ?
or do you think that it doesn't matter as they can be replaced by insurance ?
do you assume you can leave your burning house and check into a hotel or do you
grab things as if you will be living out on the streets after your house burns down ?
i showed some clothing here because taking it literally, i wouldn't want to flee
whitfield towers wearing the kings new clothes.
so... my favourite jeans, my most comfortable ( and expensive ) kicks.
i like my new belt but also i think it could be a handy bit of kit ( heavy buckle )
the loopwheeler fleece is amazing quality. it's very warm in winter
and cool in summer. i think you can only buy it from one tiny little shop in tokyo.
it's not only something i wear a lot, but it's almost irreplaceable.
gloves and hat incase it's cold on the streets of n7
panerai and a bape g-shock
the usual suspects... iphone, jambox speaker, wallet, krink marker, passport,
clip-on waterproof torch.
1998 supreme backpack, a few bape t-shirts
bape / porter camera bag and 3 cameras
finalhome ( my bear ) who i always take on trips. i take photos of him
plus he's a good pillow and useful for padding in a camera bag.
a postcard mrs w drew for me and a letter la niña wrote to me when she was a nipper.
grrr ! i've just forgotten something really important that i would definitely take with me if whitfield towers was burning down...
ok, competition time...
what did i forget ?
usual rules apply, one guess per person. decent prize.
well I could be practical and say a bag of chargers for the electronics... but I'll go for the romantic option and of course one that in reality you'd throw the rest of this stuff in a river to save...
ReplyDeleteMrs W!
(if I'm not right, you better get used to sleeping on the pavements of N7! You won't need a fire to prompt you to choose what you need to take)
Hair product! How could you miss it...?
ReplyDeletecar keys – if whitfield towers are on fire, the jam jar is the only safe place!
ReplyDeleteLittle ted. Me cago en Final Home.
ReplyDeleteThat or your extensive collection of socks?
'er in doors?
ReplyDeleteThe Bobo DVD or print? It can't be the Kevin Rowland cd as it is all kinds of wrong.
ReplyDeleteAs I seem to be getting left behind in your hurry to pack your music and visual entertainment in preparation for a long period of homelessness (I've never seen you wear that hat and it got pretty cold this winter) may I suggest a scarf to complete the cursed ensemble
