if you're ever in porto i would heartily recommend a visit to the casa da musica.
it really is a top building ( designed by rem koolhaas ) the sort of place you can explore and wander from room to room, discovering lots of interesting music venues, and also plenty of locations for a bit of photography.
i've already shown you a few portraits that i took in earlier posts
so i'll finish with the place by showing a few other odd shots.
in one room the walls are like this
it looks sharp but the green pointy wall covering is actually made from
a soft foam kind of thing. i guess it's for the acoustics. very interesting
anyway and it makes a great background for portraits.
i like the composition here...
pity i didn't get a shot of me sulking on the seats though.
this is the view just around the corner from the shot above...
once again... an interesting place for a shoot.
what a nice place for a piano concert
plenty of room for a few dancers too.
the seats in the main auditorium were pretty sweet...
really comfortable padded silver seats which recline when you lean back.
from silver to gold... i found a cheeky gold padded wall and some good light
which gave me the excuse for one final self-portrait...
boom !
