up the junction

last night we took a stroll to the junction on fortess road.

to drink... yankee pride, which strangely enough is brewed in wigan.

it was the best beer i'd had in ages. 9/10

first up i had razor clam with chorizo, spring onions and chillis...

it was piping hot, the razor clams and chorizo  were on fine form and i would have given it
full marks but it was let down by some green things being present. 9.5/10

ay caramba ! look what jackie had for starters...

some green stuff with slices of pear and those things which go on the top of
a walnut whip... oh, i think they are called walnuts.

as i've mentioned previously, when it comes to eating at the junction,
i am contractually obliged to order up a rikki lake.

this was a standard effort. top marks to the waiter by the way... this usually comes with watercress. i told him that under no circumstances did i want to see even one piece of cress involved in my meal, and in a shock move, my instructions were relayed to the kitchen
and carried out perfectly. 8.5/10

we were pretty full after our main courses. i tried to press jackie to a lemon cheesecake...
but she moved out of the way.

so, two enthusiastic thumbs up for the junction, fortess road, nw5.
