paraguay v spain

there's a park opposite whitfield towers.
for a few months now it is kind of taken over every saturday by a load of south americans.
it's quite sweet to see them using it as a place to get together. it seems like a big family day out. loads of kiddies playing footy, mums chatting, and the menfolk... well the menfolk play volleyball.
they play volleyball until it's dark. infact they play it even when it is dark. they also carry on playing if it rains. maybe i should film them one day too because they are absolutely brilliant. great to watch.

a few weeks ago they started making a barbeque in the evenings, then last night i looked out and they'd brought a massive telly onto the court and had it rigged up for the paraguay v spain match.

they are top people and always leave the park in perfect condition, taking all their litter away with them.
maybe one saturday i'll go and say hello to them and ask if i can photograph their volleyball games, and maybe do a few portraits too.
