on the advice of a key member of my entourage ( gooner jeff )
i schlepped it over to middlesex street e1 on friday to check out kossoffs.
i thought i'd do an in-depth review of the place, however...
maybe it's best if i relate the dialogue between myself and the staff of kossoffs...

me : hello, can i have a salt beef bagel please ?
woman no.1 : we ain't got none.
me : no salt beef ?
woman no.1 : 'sall gone, we'll have some more ready in... elsie, how long for the salt beef ?
woman no.2 : an hour.
woman no.1 : an hour.
me : er, ok... thanks anyway.
i wasn't about to wait an hour. it was 10am by the way and they'd sold out of what was presumably their first batch of salt beef. it must be good ? i'll return to kossoffs another day as i do like a salt beef bagel. as for a review of the place the only marks i can give are:
number of staff: 3
friendliness of staff : 2/10
hours until they, a shop specialising in salt beef bagels, could sell me a salt beef bagel : 1
any more suggestions for breakfast in the city jeff ?
