i took another stroll around the haunch of venison this morning.
on the way in, i spotted a few people breaking down the james lavelle exhibition.
apart from the futura pointman sketches and paintings, my favourite piece at the exhibition was an animatronic pointman.
as i mentioned previously, photography was not allowed at the exhibition. luckily just as i walked in, a bloke carried out the pointman figure and put it down in the hallway.
i asked him if i could take a photo and he said yes. so here it is, the only photo i've ever seen of john nolan's animatronic pointman
it turned out that the bloke carrying it was john nolan himself.
so i asked him to sit down for a quick portrait...
i like it... in fact i think i'll email it to him to say thanks.
