saturday in london. from black pudding to jane austen.

saturday was jess's last day in london for a while.

we headed over to fernandez and wells for the traditional whitfield breakfast...
morcilla
what can i do ? i can't make this look any better, but trust me...
this breakfast is 10/10

david has taken over barista duties at st. anne's court. he's really passionate about coffee.
and as ever with the staff at fernandez and wells, he makes you feel like a special customer.

he made a cracking stumpy for me...

and a latte for mrs w
i like sitting outside the st. anne's court branch. it's great for people watching
plus the metal table gives the impression that the photos are in black and white
with just the coffee in colour.

the three of us took a stroll down new bond street, where the halcyon gallery
was preparing for the new mitch griffiths exhibition, "the promised land"
check out the massive print of "the flag bearer"... a portrait of ray winstone.

later we checked out this year's serpentine pavillion
red and green. nice combo.

where i had possibly the worst freshly squeezed orange juice of all time

and found a massive mirrored wall
then a long walk through the park, a bus home and a night of pizza, wine and jane austen.

leave it !
