sunday stuff

we took a little trip to the haunch of venison to check out the james lavelle exhibition.
it was excellent, although photography was not allowed and also it's only on for 4 days.
so by the time i post this, the show will be over ( today was the third day )

you could buy the exhibition poster in the shop for £5. it looked exactly like this...
but was a4 size.
at the entrance to the exhibition they were giving away the same printed version but in a5
on better card than the a4 version ! hmmm...

the exhibitions upstairs were still on, and they allow photography, as i showed in a previous post:

today the ceramic dog thing was not working, but amongst all the injured canines i spotted one which looked to be still in pretty good condition...
good dog !

i also took a photo of something which i failed to get a decent shot of last time...
there's a little stuffed bird inside the rib cage thing by the way.
no idea what it's supposed to be but it kind of looks interesting doesn't it ?

next we went for a stroll down jermyn street, where we passed a famous cheesemonger.
and i uttered a curse aimed at the paxtons.

we took shelter from the rain in the ica
where i had a surprisingly decent double-shot latte

when the rain died down we walked back to the jam jar and saw a very interesting sign in the front window of caffe nero on piccadilly...
ay carumba !
our good friend sumudu is going to be performing there next month.
she's very talented and not only that, she's such a nice person.
if you're in the area on september 24th you should swing by...
you'll be able to drink some average coffee, hear some beautiful music and also spot a moody looking photographer skulking about.

in fact check out her website:
she's playing at caffe nero branches all over the country so you may be able to catch her somewhere other than sunny london.

after all this excitement i sat in the window seat at napket on vigo street and scowled at the
youngsters passing by, dragging their parents towards abercrombie and fitch.
to help with this i grabbed a slice of pizza...
joder ! it was hot.
