black and white saturday

i decided that i'd only shoot black and white photos on saturday.

this poster was in a pub window in lambs conduit street
i approve.

i took a stroll around the british museum
this fellow was on the first floor

from where you get a good view down onto the foyer
it's a good place for people watching.

hmmm... i think this would have been better in colour.
these coins were bright gold. very thin, but very gold.

look at this little chess piece...
he reminds me of the characters in noggin the nog.

this fellow looks quite angry

i think this was an old table-tennis bat
but i could be wrong.

i think this would have been better in colour. it was a very nice shade of pale green.

afterwards i dropped by joe allen, which is fast becoming a regular saturday haunt.
it's a great place with some amazing posters and photos on the walls.

the food is right up my street...
sausages, fried eggs, a muffin and a side portion of mashed potato.

then home to whitfield towers to watch a black and white film.
