back in 1998 i was working in santiago chile for 3 weeks.
for the opening ceremony of the event i was photographing, i was positioned on
the top floor of an office block in santiago, overlooking the whole thing.
as i looked down at the crowd below, i saw my friends chris and neil ( alan batter )
i got on the walkie talkie and asked them to pose up while i took a shot.
chris did what any right thinking man in that situation would have done...
he showed his true colours.
i told him to take a photo of me up in my lofty position and i saluted...
marvellous.
after a little while when the ceremony was over, i joined chris and we posed up for
a photo, just the two of us...
well... and a couple of members of the local militia.
