shepard fairey

2 or 3 years ago i did some photography for a gallery which was hosting an exhibition
by shepard fairey. i got to go along an hour or so before the launch party and take
a good look at the work.

this was my favourite piece at the show. these sunsets are to die for !
when i sold my banksy a couple of months later, i made sure i kept
some money aside and bought a signed print version of this. it's a real beauty.

here's one of shepard's pieces of work with me alongside it so you can see the scale

and hopefully here you can see some of the detail in the piece

all of these were pre-sold

these too...

shep was in the house, sporting old school adidas kicks

being interviewed by some german characters

this was an interesting piece. i forget what it was called but it was two sides of
a dollar bill, done in the obey style.
on the floor were scattered loads of note sized copies.
i was talking to one of shepard's assistants at one point and he offered me a big handful of these notes. i politely declined.
a couple of days later people were selling them on ebay for £5 a pop !

grrr !
