interiors

it's always nice to get a bit of feedback on this blog effort.
jackie in canada said she likes to see the interiors i shoot in restaurants.
so especially for jackie, here are a few i've done recently.

this is a place in soho called gauthier
i think it used to be called lindsay house. i think the waiters
must have a hard time here because the floors and tables are all over the place.
they gave me a nice espresso when i did this shoot.

this is roux at parliament square
they gave me a latte and also offered me a staff meal when i'd finished shooting.

this is a place called the pheasant
it's a restaurant in a pub in cambridgeshire. it came second in the f-word earlier this year.
they also gave me two coffees.

this is a shop in the west end called fenwick
in the shop there is a new restaurant called bond and brook
( fenwick is on the corner of bond street and brook street )

here's what it looks like when you step into it
lounge area at the front, restaurant behind the bar.

here's a view of the restaurant area
i've never seen a restaurant where they packed in so many tables into a small space.
all the tables are too close together if you ask me.
they gave me a cracking double espresso though.

this was in clerkenwell...i forget what it was called
they didn't offer me a coffee at this place.
maybe if they had, i might have remembered it's name ?

this one is koffmann's at the berkeley hotel
they gave me a corking strong latte here

here's another view of the place
i think this is a place for grown-ups.

tinello is an italian restaurant in pimlico
they practically forced a double espresso on me...
not that i objected at all.

this is not a restaurant. it's a casino in mayfair called crockfords
they always look after me at crockfords. if i remember correctly i think they gave me a glass
of champagne.

this place was in devon, or dorset... or somerset
( i always get confused with those counties )
it was called the field kitchen restaurant and they gave me a caffetiere
which i had outside in the cold while they finished setting up the place for me.
it's mainly a vegetarian place... but the people were quite nice nevertheless.

this was a couple of weeks ago when i had a shoot in the penthouse at the st. martin's lane hotel. this is the hotel lobby
no coffee for marky at the st. martin's lane hotel... but they did send us up some
still water

this place i shot last week. it's the newly reopened 8 over 8 on the kings road
a nice girl called ashley made me a flat white the minute i entered the place.
i like ashley.

this is the private dining room downstairs at 8 over 8
you have no idea how much of a cheat this photo is.
i shot it with a 16mm lens on my new leica m9.
it makes the room look quite big and spacious, but in real life the room is
about the size of a shoe box.
