harris tweed x nike air force-1

one of my longest ebay searches ever came to an end this week.
well, i bought them about 2 weeks ago and they finally arrived yesterday.

( by the way, what is it with buying kicks from the usa ? the last three pairs i bought each took two weeks to get to whitfield towers. yet whenever i buy kicks from japan, the postage is usually less expensive and they only take 3 or 4 days to arrive at sunny n7 )

anyway... check out these bad boys.
my air force 1 game is on fire this year, and it's only january.
these are af-1 inside-outs made from premium buttersoft leather and wait for it...
harris tweed !

yes... harris tweed
have a look at the authenticity label, stitched into the soft leather sock liner.

the materials used on this shoe are on a different level
the lining and insole are in a brown soft glove leather.

i won't lie, i'm not that convinced about the swoosh being this colour
it's described as 'cameo rose'
the shoe sits on a black leather wrap outsole with rose stitching
and a dark brown bottom.

the tip, the eye stay, the tongue, the heel tab and the foxing are all constructed with a black premium buttersoft leather
you have to feel this leather... it's the best i've seen used on an af-1

hmmm... rose laces and rose tongue tab
the harris tweed is olive green in colour

the tweed is fantastic. you know i love tweed anyway, but it really works here.
it's like a mash-up. all the elements combining to make something really special.
you can only imagine how tempted i am to buy another pair of these to keep
'for display purposes only'

but as for this pair, i'm going to wear them and wear them often.
bringing heat to the streets of n7

boom !
