between the cotswolds and wales

rewind to last weekend.

after leaving cotswolds 88 i drove along the a40 towards wales.

at some point i stopped off for a coffee break and to stretch my legs.

ok this is pretty rubbish but i can't remember the name of the town
i stopped off at.

well here are three photos i took anyway... maybe you'll recognise the place ?

i like this because when i was little i used to like a bit of putting.
also i like that the sign shows the distance in yards.
skill.

this was a strange shop
it sold showers, bathroom fittings and antiques.
i like the jesus fellow, especially his left hand... the way he's tapping the heart.

and look at this shop
with all the old tin advertisements of items which are long gone from
the shelves of shops like these. hmmm... lyons coffee and chicory extract.
palethorpes sausages... tug-o-war plug... fry's high class chocolate...
and the news of the world !
