behind the scenes shots

i had a little portrait shoot with a fashion designer last week.
i had to do the shots in her office, which was a bit untidy / unphotogenic
so...
while the subject was in hair and make-up, i asked a couple of the girls who
worked there to cover the sofa and table with their signature scarves
i liked the showroom dummy on the left, but not the ironing boards on the right.

ok, it's getting there.
but the poster behind the sofa would have to be removed.

while the boss was having her hair done, the staff took photos
and i took photos of the staff taking photos.

i did a couple of practice shots with natasha in place of rachel ( the boss )
while somebody dressed the mannequin

hmmm... that's just about ready
cheers natasha.

and a sneaky upright shot...
because sometimes the newspaper wants an upright version.

time was tight, and rachel was still being fussed over
so...

i prepared another shot
where i could get her to sit in front of photos of next season's collection

hmmm... the light at this girl's desk was kind of nice too

rachel was finally ready for me, i put francesca on reflector duty
and...

i started snapping away
... and i heard lots of noise from behind me...

and saw that i wasn't the only person snapping away
grrr !

well seeing as they were photographing me and rachel,
i figured they might as well do it properly so i handed over my camera and...
boom !

how do you like me now ?!
thanks to rachel for being a good sport ( and laughing at my jokes )
thanks to francesca for being my assistant
but most of all, thanks to ash... for being a good boss and a good friend.

agent whitfield, over and out.
