one bad thing about the long drive up to the lakes was the lack of decent
coffee. it seems like costa coffee have the service station game sewn up.
we stopped off at the place on the m6 toll section where i had a flat white.
grrrr !
and i also had some sort of panini. i think it was supposed to be beef
and peppers... who knows ?
decent coffee places in the lake district were scarce.
it seemed like the best on offer was filter coffee
a bit inky. this effort was in ambleside.
and this was at the edge of lake coniston. i'm guessing it was called the bluebird cafe
somewhere on the tour we stopped off at another costa for another flat white.
and another grrr !
