to get to gurnard on the isle of wight ( or 'the island', as the locals call it )
i was advised to take the chain ferry.
grrr ! i missed it by a minute
still, it only takes a couple of minutes to cross.
time to stretch my legs and poke about with my gf-1
then to realise there's not much to look at, get back in the jam jar
and wait for the ferry to come back.
